What is hemroids?
Each of us has veins within the Excretory Orifice that tend to stretch under pressure, somewhat like varicose veins in the legs. Hemroids are enlarged veins in the Excretory Orifice or lower rectum. Hemroids can affect men and women alike. Pregnant women often develop hemroids, because of the strain from carrying the baby and from giving birth. Men are more likely than women to suffer from hemroids that require professional medical treatment. Obesity, straining during bowel movements, sitting too long on the toilet, or standing or lifting too much can make hemroids worse. Constipation is oftentimes the main cause of hemroids.
